Pricing and Quantity Questions

Where do the prices shown on this site come from?

Sometimes the price of my medication changes. Why?

There are many factors that determine the final price you pay for a medication. These include: ingredient costs, dispensing fees, and any applicable promotions or discounts from the manufacturer, distributor, or retailer. Each of these variables can change on a daily basis. DestinationRx makes every effort to update the prices on our website as frequently as possible. However, sometimes we are unable to keep up with each pharmacy's changes. Refer to the pharmacy itself to be sure of the current price of your drug.

Why do some pharmacies offer a 90-day supply of my medication, and others only offer a 30-day supply?

Online and mail-order pharmacies typically sell medications only in 90-day quantities. These companies save money by purchasing drugs in bulk. In turn, consumers save money by purchasing a three-month supply of their medications. In contrast to online and mail-order pharmacies, retail pharmacies have more flexibility and fill a much wider variety of prescription types. Their prices may not always be as low as online and mail-order pharmacies, but they can dispense drugs in 30-day quantities.
